South-Korean passport holders do not require either a Schengen visa or an MVV for the Netherlands. South-Korean passport holders who wish to stay in the Netherlands for more than 90 days, must apply for a temporary residence permit upon arrival in the Netherlands.

If you are planning a short visit to the Netherlands and you do not have Dutch nationality, you may need to apply for a Schengen visa. The Netherlands is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen Area which have no border controls between them. These countries issue a common visa, the Schengen visa. Please bear in mind that if you want to apply for a visa at the Netherlands Embassy, the main destination or period of longest stay within the Schengen area must be the Netherlands. Otherwise, the Embassy cannot accept the application. Every applicant must appear in person to apply.
