MVV exemption for South-Korean nationals.

As of June 1, 2007, South-Korean nationals who plan to stay in the Netherlands for 90 days or longer for the purpose of studying, working or family reunion are exempt from applying for a MVV (Machtiging Voorlopig Verblijf) at the Netherlands Embassy before travelling. This means that application for a residence permit can be started upon arrival in the Netherlands. Be aware you need certain certified documents that you have to prepare in your home country and bring to the Netherlands. For information on how to apply for a residence permit, please click  here

For short-stay visits to the Netherlands (upto 90 days) the situation remains unchanged: no visa required.
