From the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation, the Embassy got the following notice:

To respond to the emerging threat of liquid explosives, Security Control Guidelines for Liquids, Gels and Aerosols restricting possession of liquids, gels and aerosols onboard aircraft by passengers in their carry-on bags will be enforced beginning 1 March 2007 and will be applicable to all international flights (including transfer and transit flights) departing the Republic of Korea.
